Keywords Unique or Themed

Hi all,

Is it better to keyword a website with unique keywords to the topic of invidual page based on the the content of that page, or is it better to use the same keywords throughout the site based on the theme of the site?

or themed keywords based on the overall website with unique description to the page?

Each page should have the keywords that pertain to that particular page. There may be one particular keyword phrase that covers the topic of the whole site, so that would be the "theme" but each page should be focused and specifically targeted.

If the site makes sense there usually are some keywords that show up un many pages. Per page however it's best to be as specific as possible.
