Anyone can help to analyze this keyword

When i search on google for keyword "dirt widget", i got the [example.com...] on the first place. When i check in this site, i fond the page only have one or two this word in content. Even the pics do have alt.
Does the keyword in link help a lot?

Surely the keyword in the link and the title are important to get good ranking for specific keywords.

Nonetheless, the site is ranked 1st (over 2M results) and as you said (from the code source), the site has nothing special. It has a PR of 5 and only 36 inbound links!

I am not an expert but ut seems it well positioned because he has a multitude of websites related to the same subject and good crosslinking (see the select box at the top of the page).
