I've signed up to word-trackers trial to see what kind of traffic different key phrases might generate and I'm confused by the results.
When I first signed up I put in the keyword that I currently optimise my site for, just to see how many times the keyword had been used over the last 60 days (which is what word-tracker says it compiles info for).

I was told that my key phrase had been used 44 times and was estimated to be used 38 times for the coming months. This can't be right as my site alone registers about 50 click throughs from search engines using this exact term. So how on earth can it only have been used 44 times over the ENTIRE internet during the last 60 days?!

I'm obviously reading the results wrongly but I can't see how to correctly interpret these results. Any ideas anyone?

Word Tracker, just like any other reasearch or analytics tool should just be used as a rough guide. They take a much smaller sampling than Overture and extrapolate the results.
