I seem to get conflicting data between the tool keyword tools and i don't which one to take seriously.

For example on the word say seduction you get 15000 searches performed in Dec 2004, yet in

Wordtracker it says 1100 searches on that word alone in the past 60 days!?

Can anybody make any sense of this?

1. Broad Match

2. Wordtracker measures different things than Overture does.

It's often helpful to think of both tools as metrics rather than absolutes measurements.

Hi BakedJake and thanks for replying.

Would you mind explaining what you mean by broad match please? I take it that is what overture is saying.

But even if i added up every single variation (i.e. seduction, Seduction, SEDUCTION) listed in #*$! it would not come anywhere near the 15000 searches made in Dec 2004.

In any case which one can be relied upon to get a ball park figure for the amount of searches made in Dec 04 on the keyword 'Seduction'?

Does overture include figures for google or it just searches made in SEs powered by Inktomi?
