I currently code in Dreamweaver and am looking for a code editor specifically for JavaScript.
Most importantly the ability to apply source formatting to my JavaScript and it must be free of course.
Let me know and thanks.

Well, I'm sure you'll get lots of responses, but IMHO, the best editor for javascript and HTML is a nice plain text editor with syntax highlighting.
I use TextPad and highly recommend it. There are many others.

I think it depends on what features you want. I use Crimson Editor because it's the best I've found with document tabs, syntax colouring and brace matching.

If you have dreamweaver then you should also have homesite, depending on the version. I do all hand coding in Homesite and love the interface.

Hay korkus2000 I have herd of that before and almost installed homesite. Can you say specifically why or what homesite offers that DW doesn’t

It is lighter than Dreamweaver. It also has a great JS reference installed. I like to do my JS in a text editor and Homesite does the trick, plus it comes with dreamweaver. It is also easier to customize than Dreamweaver.
