Printing without Header/Footer?

Hi,

is there a way to get rid of the page header (usually it's the page title and url) and the page footer (usually it's the page number and date) without the user having to change the web browser's page setup?

I'm only concerned with this for Internet explorer browsers at present.

There seems to be a way - though perhaps cumbersome - using activX controls.
which I have not yet dared try - not so experienced with these things - yet.

You should be able to do this in pure css - have a stylsheet set with media=print [w3.org] which sets your header and footer blocks to display: none

edit: sorry, just realised you meant the bits added by the browser when it prints..
