Hi,
Can anyone recommend a free or low cost GDPR cookie consent banner generator?
I don't have a personal server- just subscribing to shared web hosting, so all cookies to my site visitors come from advertisers like AdSense and from my web host without any ways for me to control it. I am looking for a script for a banner that just informs the visitors that we use cookies, so they can click OK with no options to control it.

A Google search with keywords like "free cookie consent" should give enough hits to select a script which fits your need. Problem is though that simply providing an OK button without control options isn't enough to be GDPR compliant and has the same value as displaying no cookie banner.

@lammert
I do know there are many providers of cookie consent- I was interested in hearing personal experience rather than trying them all. My site is html, so to implement this thing I would need to manually add a code to all pages- a very time consuming exercise.
As for the second part, as I said, I don't have ways of controlling 3rd party cookies. So, my message would be like "you'll get cookies and if you continue using this site it means you agree, otherwise you can delete them".

Hello-

I know this is not the question, but the problem, is that a visitor has to give his explicit consent for (tracking) cookies. It sounds that, your site set cookies, before the visitor has a chance to agree (or not). I know it's picky, but that is how the EU works. Also, several national regulators said that, "continuing" browsing, or interacting with the page, is NOT a consent.

Stay under the radar for the next two years, and it will no longer be your problem (since cookies will disappear from browsers).

Good to know, although I am sure EU and California will figure out how to have everyone spend time and money for implementing some other useless things.
