How do you tell the browser to load newest version of a page?

I think this is a Javascript thing

Hi everyone.

I have a client running Safari on a mac. When see views her site, the cached version almost always shows first and then she has to manually hit her refresh button. I'm not sure if there is a setting in her browser somewhere that will tell it to look for updated versions of pages. Nonetheless, if she is having problems with this others will too and that is bad. I am not a programmer, so, I was wondering if anyone knew some Javascript or anything else I can add to my code to force the browser to load the updated page?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Hi Cienwen,

Since you're using a MAC your post would gain better attention from other MAC users had you put apple or mac in the thread title. I'm not sure what the PC/MAC ratio is here. There is a MAC webmaster forum you can also try?

I have used Safari on MACs but I never had that problem. You'll want to look in Safari's preferences perhaps?

Do a google for "Safari Enhancer" as it looks like you may not have the many/any cache related options. Let me know if you resolve the issue, I can check the Macs at school if you like. What is the version of Safari she is running?
