External JavaScript & Access problems

I seem to have problem with my javascript and File permissions.

I have placed my JS code in external file and when I run it, I get Access Denied error at line : printWin.document.write(html);

However, if I place the JS code in the HTML file itself, it works.

So any idea how I can solve this problem. I am using ASP.NET 1.1

Following is my JS code:
----Javascript code in External file -----

function printSpecial()
{
var gAutoPrint = true; // Flag for whether or not to automatically call the print function

if (document.getElementById!= null)
{
var html = '<HTML>\n<HEAD>\n';

if (document.getElementsByTagName!= null)
{
var headTags = document.getElementsByTagName("head");
if (headTags.length > 0)
html += headTags[0].innerHTML;
}

html += '\n</HE' + 'AD>\n<BODY>\n';

var printReadyElem = document.getElementById("printReady");

if (printReadyElem!= null)
{
html += printReadyElem.innerHTML;
}
else
{
alert("Could not find the printReady section in the HTML");
return;
}

html += '\n</BO' + 'DY>\n</HT' + 'ML>';

var printWin = window.open("","printSpecial");
printWin.document.open();
printWin.document.write(html);
printWin.document.close();
if (gAutoPrint)
printWin.print();
}
else
{
alert("Sorry, the print ready feature is only available in modern browsers.");
}
}

----------- end of code -----------

I am calling the code as:
<Head>
<script language="JavaScript" src="http://localhost/onlineproject/Scripts/scripts.js"></script>
</HEAD>

<html>
<body>

<A href="javascript:load()">terms &amp; conditions</A>
</body>
</html>

Actually, I have done a bit more testing, and it seems to me that I get Access Denied error all the time (whether I put it in an external file or include it with the html file)

So any idea what could be wrong.
