Can anyone help?

I have a search box on my website with the searched content hosted on another domain - The Search Box is ALWAYS the slowest to load and is very noticable on my homepage - BUT it is THE most clicked Once it loads. The basic 'before search' content is the same so doesn't need to be got from the hosted search results - I don't think anyway.

Any advice as to how I can speed up the loading of the javascript/searchbox?

IF anyone can help I can pm you the domain with the search box.

Thanks in advance

Why does the search box need to be JS, is it Google search or something?

If it's not an externally loaded search box, why can't you hard code it?

If it's external, like google search on your site, not a lot you can do to speed up someone else's code and the connection between the sites, I'd think.

Thanks rocknbil: I am an affiliate and the search box provides content from my vendor on another domain.

The basic displayed version (when web page loads) of the search box stays the same - but the content that is then displayed once you search changes daily.

When searching the search opnes a new window and goes to the vendor's website.
