Hi,

From SEO point of view is it good to have Javascript or CSS On-Page / Off-Page.

Thanks

Hi and welcome to Webmaster World!

It is best practise to have your Javascript in an external file. There are a few reasons for this like being able to link to the file from multiple pages but from an SEO standpoint it will reduce page bloat / load time. Yahoo explains this pretty well here [developer.yahoo.com...]

Quoting from the above link ...

JavaScript and CSS that are inlined in HTML documents get downloaded every time the HTML document is requested. This reduces the number of HTTP requests that are needed, but increases the size of the HTML document. On the other hand, if the JavaScript and CSS are in external files cached by the browser, the size of the HTML document is reduced without increasing the number of HTTP requests.
