Can anyone here direct me to a javascript or ajax news scroller that scrolls on its own, BUT has a scroll bar so someone can scroll back to a missed headline, instead of waiting for it to cycle around?
I cant find one!

Instead of looking for a news scroller, look for a slideshow script that has controls. Instead of putting <img> tags in each slide, put your <a>news</a> content.
It'll take some work to change some of those around, but it should be less work than hacking a news scroller to have controls.
