Using DW, how do I change pages when a selection is made

Drop down menu, redirecting when selection is made.

Hello,

Happy Fourth! When a client selects an option from a drop down menu, how can I redirect them to a different page that is relevant to that selection? E.g. if you selected "info on house" from my drop down menu, you would be redirected to a new page on my site relevant to house!

Please help.

Thank you.

Be carefully using such navigation, it does have some drawbacks.
1) Search Engines probably won't be able to follow it
2) User that have browsers that don't have JavaScript or have disabled JavaScript won't be able to use it.

You might want to make sure that you also have standard URL links that both of these can use.

Hello,

What else would you suggest?

Thanks.

Go ahead and use it if you want to, just make sure that alternative navigation options are available, like a site map.

Standard URL?

Do you mean "Go to URL" (onchange)?

Should I have this selected as well?

Thanks.

The Onchange is a JavaScript driven event, if the browser doesn't run JavaScript it won't work.
So yes, somehwere else in the page have either a standard URL that points to the page, or to a site map.
I'm not sore about the other part you are asking, I don't use DW, so don't know what the options mean.

Thanks.
