Move divs around and save location

Hi all,

I have a bit of a challenge here.

The subject is a website with multiple parts. Similar to url removed
The challenge is the following. Each user must be able to move the sections around on the website (up and down, and across) with ajax, and the location has to be saved for that user.

I have never worked with ajax and also never used javascript to run mysql queries on the background.
(Not sure if thats needed)

I hope you can help me out here.

Ah, sorry for the url.

The website has several divs which need to switch places.
