Parent window is not refreshing with the info

Parent window is not refreshing with the info entered on the child window

Hi all,

We are facing a weird problem. We have a Java file with a button to open a new window which is used to upload a file. This child window is written in Perl.

Child window upload doc fine and returns back the doc information to parent window in normal scenario.

However, security team ran MS patch MS08-030 and MS08-031 few days back. Since then this functionality is not working. When we add the parent site to 'Trusted Sites' in IE and do other IE settings, it works.

We are refreshing parent window on body unload of child window.

Any pointers will be a great help!

Well, I wouldn't necessarily say it's a "weird" problem as much as an issue with default security settings. Are you using the site outside of an intranet? If not, simply adding the site to your Trusted Sites is perhaps the best and simplest solution.

Thanks a lot for the reply and welcome.
Both the web apps are in same intranet, just their architecture is different and they use different URLs. Is there no way to overcome this problem may be by using Javascript or something of that sort? I am very new to all this. Can you please help me in understanding concept of trusted sites.
