Everyone has common typos "built in" to their hands. I think it's a genetic thing; the shape and length and knuckle dexterity of one's fingers will make certain typos more common than others. It's a good thing to get to know your own patterns, especially when you're coding in notepad, where there ain't no spell-check, and a single typo in a variable name will send your scripts spiraling into the abyss...

I'm notoriously sloppy. Please excuse if you see typos in my posts. I'm actually a very good speller, with excellent grammar, but I'm a lousy typist, and I'm lazy when it comes to putting capital letters at the beginning of sentences.

anyways, one of mine is aray. with only one "r". It happens all the time.

<tanle> is another, a muscle memory error left over from when I used to have a regular keyboard, now I have an ergonomic one and I need to get used to the "b" being inaccessible to my right index finger.

another is <Table>, with a capital "T". my RH pinky always holds the shift down a little too long and then I have to go back and change it to <table>

But my favourite (if one can have "favourite" errors) is the "onlick" event. In my imagination, it's what javascript does when someone licks the screen. That would require some special hardware.

How many onlicks does it take to get to the center of a Tootsie Roll Pop? :)

For some reason, this one always gets me...

<spam>

It never fails. Fortunately for me I use a WYSIWYG and can see the malformed syntax immediately!

<spam>Others may not be so fortunate.</span>

I'm shocked that everyone posting here has not addressed the accessibility issues:

element.onlick=function(){
if(!diabetic){
return sweet
}else{
return sugarfree
}
}

It's part of the W3C Guidelines. If you don't believe me, lick it up!

I've always been a pretty good with typing but there is one damned word that I cannot for the life of me type without it coming out all wrong;

return flase;

Every time... it's to the point where I know it's coming up and I'm going to mess it up.

Ok, here it comes, I can do this... flase!

Damnit!

Every time I key the word "serve" I have a terrible habit of typing out "server" and the bummer is it passes a spell-check.

"I am responding to your RFP and would love to server you." I can see a board of directors now reviewing the opening letter and simply stating ... "Idiot."
