Forcing out of frame for Google image search.

image search sends a user, are there downsides to forcing out that frame?

I have a compelling reason to force a refresh out of the frame Google sets up when it sends someone to one of my sites from image search.

It is just a piece of code that checks if the referrer is Google and then does a refresh with target="_top" which pulls you out of that frame.

Does this sound like a bad idea as far as unindented side effects with regards to page ranking?

Anyone see any reason to not do this?
