Thanks to all. The site is up and running with the animation in place, images loading before the animation starts and several other problems solved.

One last problem though. I've got music playing in the background. The guy I made if for wanted music playing in the background, and that's fine.

The problem is the file size. He knows a local band and he asked them if they would make a song for the web site. And they happily agreed.

So they do the song and he gives me the cd. I rip it from the cd, save it as an mp3, and check the size. It came in at 22 MB, which would take at least an hour to load with a dial up connection.

Happily, I was able to trim it down to 350 k but that's the bare minimum.

Someone mentioned streaming the audio. Maybe loading 30 seconds into a buffer and then starting the music to reduce the time before the music starts.

It sounds like a good idea. Would someone point me in the right direction.

Adam5000,

From what I remember, mp3 is not streamable. You might be better off converting to real audio or windows media format so that you can stream the content. Otherwise the site visitors will have to wait a *long* time before they hear anything.
