.js files and inserting a menu into a page

I have a site... and for matters of ease, I want to setup using a .js file with the structuring of the menu, then just have it setup where when the page loads, it reads the .js file and displays the menu.... Mainly as a matter of ease so if/when I have to edit the menu, I don't have to do it to every page.

What you want is an include. Have a look at SSI.
