Our AJAX site won't work through most proxies. The proxies either remove JavaScript, or munge it incorrectly. Is enough traffic going through proxies that it matters? Are there standards for Javascript proxy compatibility?

it won't just be the proxys not haveing js diabled, some users may aswell. see [webmasterworld.com...] for more info
