Please help me to modify this clock/date script

How do I remove the time, leaving only the date?

Here is the script:

// Set the clock's font size (in point):

// Set the clock's background color:
var myback_color = "#303030";

// Set the text to display before the clock:
var mypre_text = "";

// Set the width of the clock (in pixels):
var mywidth = 300;

// Display the time in 24 or 12 hour time?
// 0 = 24, 1 = 12
var my12_hour = 0;

// How often do you want the clock updated?
// 0 = Never, 1 = Every Second, 2 = Every Minute

I bet that's the section you would need to change ;)

Believe me, I've tried adding/removing/rewriting snippets of text but the clock always remains.

I can remove the date, just not the time!

DrDoc, if you know what needs to be changed please help!

Remove these lines:

myclock += hours+':'+minutes;
if ((myupdate < 2) ¦¦ (myupdate == 0)) { myclock += ':'+seconds; }
myclock += ' '+dn;

The first line adds the hours and minutes, the second line (potentially) adds the seconds, and the third line includes the AM/PM.

Note, this script is pretty outdated. It's accounting for things like version 4 browsers... kind of a waste in this day and age.

Thank you very much Fotiman - it's now perfect.

Can I ask you: what else can be cut from the script? - I only need to ensure compatiblity with IE 5.5 onwards, etc.

<div id="myClock"><script type="text/javascript">
var months = Array('January', 'February', 'March', 'April', 'May', 'June', 'July', 'August', 'September', 'October', 'November', 'December');
var myDate = new Date();
document.write(months[myDate.getMonth()] + " " + myDate.getDate() + ", " + myDate.getYear());
</script></div>
