But then again, what would you expect to do if the min font-size was enabled/disabled? - if it was disabled then change the stylesheet to a more fluid design that enables the user to see all the text? But I would have thought that this 'functionality' should be built into the original stylesheet.
IMO the design should not be too hung up on the size of the font - fair enough to have several optimum sizes. There are other factors that effect whether a block of text will fit in a particular container.... The user may not have the requested font on their system. The user may have changed the theme on their machine to large fonts or whatever.

IMO its annoying when a user agent implements something which can't be tested for.
Js turned off then we have noscript to warn the user or give an alternative.
Cookies disabled we can try and set then retrieve the cookie and carry on with alternatives.
Users can also set their own style sheets, something which we cant test for, however the fact that they are the ones who set thier own style sheet means that they (should) be aware of why something may not look right/ work.
AS for the minimum font size the user is not informed and neither are we.
Why not implement a warning when the minimum font-size is reached / breached.
Another little annoyance is when you hit the minimum fontsize, you can continue pressing CTRL -- for say 8 times and nothing happens. This means when you try and increase the font size (CTRL ++) you would need to press it for 8 times before the font actually starts to increase. Nice accesability feature!
Basically all but IE lay down a law that states no font size shall be less than X (X being 10px on my machine).
So no Opera 'speed dial' type feature with live webpages on those browsers, no zoom animations, no choice.
And the irony is the accessability feature minimum font size means I would have to use flash. Nice one!
Grrr grumble grumble.

Yep, that is a bit annoying. I'm usually ready with Ctrl+0 to get back to normal (for testing at least).
at least minimum font size is off by default when installed...
Are you sure?! For me (currently FF1.5) it appeared to be set by default and I'm pretty sure the same was true for me with FF2.
