Pop ups

I have a script that opens a pop up window which has content in in associated with the link the person clicked on. My question is,

Is it possible to change the look of the pop up window, example, instead of the default box that pops up could a designed frame replace the default pop up window.

When I say "Frame" I mean like a picture frame, something fancy....

You could create a DHTML fake popUp. the only setback is, it's not really a window in itself.
