Hi, Is there a way to set different text in the back button history than the html title of the page. I am not attempting to fool users with this, it is an authentic application where the requirements are to have a more detailed back button history than the title.

Maybe your TITLE tags are not detailed enough? How detailed do you want the history?!

Why you need full description of previous page. Better try to make layout of your site more user-friendly. If all controls for site surfing are noticeable users won't use back button. Your convinient interface will be enough for them.
