I have the same problem. Lets keep this thread going and help each other if the other finds the answer/quik fix first. I found that installing Sp2 was a mistake. I wish I had my old laptop back because now it seems like a stranger. I wish I remembered and used the old adage "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!"

I totally agree! I have another "consult" appt. set up on Friday w/ a specialist from microsoft, I'll be sure and let you know how that goes. We can't be the only two people having these kind of problems? Can we?

It did. I believe now the problem I am hating the most of with Sp2 is the Object Caching. I go to an auction website for business. When I click on the picture of a bid item, a new window opens with the picture of the bid item. But not anymore thanks to Sp2. I saw a tool advertised also that claims "even removal". If so, it is worth the $14.95 to me.

I found out that by holding down the CTRL button while opening another mini window corrects the javacript error problem. Try it and let me know if it works for you.
I hope it helps.

I've also encountered the problem since upgrading to SP2 of failure to access links from web pages such as photos or subsidiary pages - with javascript error messages appearing. I trawled through the Microsoft help pages and found that the answer to my problem was in article 870700 (third party browser extensions). Clearing the enable third party browser extension box solved the problem for me.

Thanks for posting what has worked for you.....the enable third party browser extension was checked, HOWEVER, after I cleared it and restarted.....I still have the same problems....can't send a yahoo email, some sites display in bottom bar "Done, but with error on page" and the message that "1 item remaining" when the page downloads? This all started after installing SP2.
I'm not sure what else to do (as I've been to microsoft support & read their troubleshooting messages). Any ideas?
