"Error on page" message

Since I installed Windows XP Service Pack 2 last week, I've encountered numerous times when I've received an "error on page" message with a little yellow triangle for something that usually (but not always) is supposed to open a new window. I also received the message during the installation process of McAfee VirusScan; when I clicked "update," it should have taken me to the installation wizard but instead I received the "error on page" message in the lower left corner of my screen. I believe this is Javascript-related. My popup blocker is disabled, and I've held down the CTRL key while clicking, remedies that have solved the problem for some people but not for me. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

I've been getting this same message after installing the SP2 (or at least the problem didn't start until then)! The "Error on Page" only occurs on some sites. The other odd thing is a site will appear the be "Opening Page" with pages remaining, but stops with 1 item remaining....this is in the left bottom bar. The page does appear to be normal though. After installing SP2, I've also been unable to send email on one of my accounts. (I can receive, but not send....when I press send it also reads "error on page".?

Have you been able to resolved this problem?

Thanks,

I've posted the solution I found to this problem under the another thread within this forum "sp2 and javascript void" Hope that helps.
