Do javascript prompts effect SE indexing and ranking?

I am wondering if having a javascript prompt on my pages will effect my pages getting indexed by google and getting good rankings? The prompt is one that displays upon entrance and links to our download file. Good or bad for SEO?

Alittle picky aren't we? I think this post was MUCH more relevant in the search engine marketing forum I posted it in. As it pertains more toward the behavior of the search engines regarding javascript than javascript itself. How about we do the right thing and move it back to it's rightful place?
