I've just devised a mind-bogglingly simple bit of javascript. I haven't refined it yet, but the concept only requires about 6 lines of code to prove.

This could be very popular with sites that carry advertising (I've seen ugly attempts to do much same thing). Is there any practical way I can copyright this code and make a buck or two.

Kaled.

Copyrighting doesn't really help if it's only six lines. Lots of different ways to do write something in six lines of code :)

But you can apply for a software patent. At the very least, you may want to throw away 80$ and get one of those early-release patents.

Might not be worth much legally, but you could probably scare someone into coughing up a few bux.
