I'm looking to purchase a drop-down menu and was wondering if any of you have suggestions or comments on drop-down menus you've used.

I need a multiple level menu that can be used both horizontally and vertically on a page. It also needs to be customizable. The script will be used on many sites.

A few I'm interested in are:
Open Cube's Visual Menu Pro - although $399 is too pricey
AJMenu - $139 is doable but I dont know if I trust the website and I'd like to see a few other options before I decide to buy.

Any other suggestions?

AllWebMenus....

Does everything you want, is relatively simple to implement, and costs $70 US.

[Edit: I might just mention imint's systems as well. They're a little pricier but not outrageous, and they are INFINITELY customizable as well as quite easy to use. I own an oldie but goodie which is specifically set for use on one domain only. My problem with them is that there is a larger outlay than I can afford in order to use them on multiple domains.

In case anyone else is also looking for a JavaScript menu to purchase, I ended up choosing COOLjsMenu. It took some time to learn how to use but after that it's a breeze.

Apycom's drop-down menu was a close second.
