Pop up Question

How do I get it to not pop up again once closed.

How do I get a pop up window to not pop up once a visitor closes it moves on then returns to the main page or uses the refresh button?

My intention is that they not be bothered with it once they decide to close it.

Any help is appreciated.

Just a suggestion but you could use javascript cookies.

Personally, I would get rid of the pop-up. According to Bloomberg, 20% of Internet users already have a pop-up blocker and the next release of IE will have one in it as well.

One way to do it without cookies would be to create hidden field on the main page that get populated from the popup. The code that launches the popup should look to this flag to determine whether or not to launch the popup.

Thanks HOCUSPOCUS. I found a script that uses javascript cookies. I think it will do.

Personally, I would get rid of the pop-up.

I don't care for them myself but I can't ignore the fact that when I stopped using them to promote my most profitable line, I saw sales decrease to 30% of what they normally were.

Like them or not they do work.
