Frames Pages - Problem With Initial Page settings

A merchant has created a batch of product pages on their site so that agents can embed the content into their own site pages.

The merchants pages have URL's like:
http://www.example.com/home/Page.aspx?page_id=999 (fictional)

I've tried setting the merchants page URL as the initial page value in both iframes and standard frames... but when the browser opens my pages, it ignores everything after the? so my page opens with the incorrect embedded merchant details.

Am I missing something or are frames not able to interpret the query strings? If the latter, does anyone have a work-around?

[edit reason] use example.com [/edit]

I've never run into this issue before - is the query string well formed? that is, especially, no spaces? how about ampersands?

Tedster...

The sample URL in my original post is exactly as supplied, with only the company name portion edited to comply with TOS.

Since posting I have been doing a bit of sleuthing and have come across a couple of references relating to frames and issues involving ASP query strings.... nothing that exactly matches my problem, but enough to imply that others are having to create work-arounds to overcome the issue.

Feel free to sticky me if you want to test this using the actual URL's.
