I have a page that contains a fairly complex DIV nesting structure to allow the corners to have gifs that make them look rounded. It works in most modern browsers. However when a base tag is added, IE acts weird. The text selection is offset by 1 line lower. You position your mouse over the first character of the first line and start selecting but instead, it selects the next line. Without the base tag there is no problem.
<snip>
I've seen many text selection problems with IE and absolute positioning. But I could not find a hack that solves that one.
