Google search HTML

My home page is stored locally on my PC. I want to have a Google search on that homepage.

How can I do that? Where do I get the HTML from?

I'm not 100% sure what you are asking for. My confusion stems from the fact that you say that you homepage is on you PC. Is your PC acting as a server for your homepage that is visible on the web?

Or are you looking for the Google desktop search?

I mean I have an html page with my fave links on it stored in My Documents. When I click Home, it goes there! Saves me from having to click the Google link if I just have a box on that home page.
