Hi everyone,

Can anyone recommend a good (and I mean good for SEO'ing) drop and drag type HTML editor? My experience with any of these editors,is that they make it easy to make websites, but create so much extra code, it's not good for Search Engine Optimization. I can do HTML without an editor, but really don't enjoy it - can anyone suggest an editor that won't add a bunch of extra code?

thanks

You might want to try NVU. I started playing with it last week and sounds like what you are looking for.

Kind of off-topic, but have you tried using SSI, PHP Includes, or other templating options? With a little creativity, you can often come up with a template that allows you to type only the main text for a page, thus greatly eliminating the hassles of creating new pages.

Unfortunately you are not going to find that with any editor out of the box. You will need to understand basic html so you know what is happening when you use certain commands in the program. You'll also need to configure your program preferences to prevent certain markup from finding its way into your pages.

I agree with the above statement that includes and templates are the only way to travel in this space.
