I have been scratching around looking for an eyedropper tool for my desktop. Ideally it would work just like the tool in photoshop - mouse it over a color and it will give you the color values in rgb, hex etc.

Currently, if I like a color, I can save the page and open photoshop to use the eye dropper and figure out what it is.

What made me think of this is that I recently downloaded a great pixel ruler tool from mioplanet - I use it all of the time. Now I want one for colors!

Anybody know of one?

Looking more carefully at mioplanet tools, looks like they have one for $19.50 - I'll give it a try - any others?

Don't forget to give Brian Etherington's XPal a try. I see on his website he has a new color mixer. They are both free, and I'm going to try the color mixer now. XPal is nice cause it can grab a color from any window.

PSPad has a built-in eyedropper and it's free!
