I know that using <blink> </blink> we can blink the text which is given inside the tags. but why dosent't it work? Do we have any alternate tag for this. if you have please give it to me.

The blink tag only works in Netscape.

added: <MARQUEE> is IE's version but this only scrolls from side to side again not fully browser compliant as NS & Mozilla will ignore it

It's fairly widely accepted that blinking text on a page is a bad idea from the user's perspective. I personally click 'back' the moment I hit a site with flashing text or too many animations unless I really have to use it.

Blink and Marquee also work in Opera 7. You can also style any element to have
text-decoration:blink
!
