PowerToys allow IE6 customisation!

In this thread [webmasterworld.com], a link was posted to something new from Microsoft, namely the return of PowerToys [microsoft.com]! These are a range of superb applets that allow fine-tuning of things like ClearType and how Windows XP operates.

The one that caught my eye is Tweak UI. It gives you several new options for IE6, including these:

* Autocorrect backslashes (so "\" becomes "/" in a URL)
* Add a custom background for the toolbar!
* Use a specific search engine for searches
* Change the animation used for the throbbers
* Adjust the size of the image toolbar

There are also settings for Windows that control things like the mouse, keyboard and folders. It's well worth a look.
