Patent office rejects granted patents

MS wins step in battle with Eolas

The USPTO has decided that 10 patents it awarded to Eolas, were awarded improperly. This all has to do with the running of embedded objects in web pages: Eolas claimed that MS used its patented technology without paying, went to court, and won.

I'm glad to see that some sense is returning to the awarding of patents. Some of the Eolas patents that were granted were a little extreme.
