- It still has weird loading attributes
- The graphics look like they are populating the screen gradually
- Are those graphics built as pages and not in indexes for graphics?
- We will work changing hosts.
- Please look into increasing the site's speed
The site is slightly heavy on the graphics but they said that they have viewed other heavy graphic sites that load quickly on their end...
Any suggestions on how to increases downloading speeds of pages and an easy understandable explanation on how html pages work and an answer to her question? I am not quite sure what she means about the images indexing? Please help, I am stumped and ran out of explanations...The client wanted the dropdown menu to have a bevel to look more like a button, can that be one of the reasons? And how do I explain why the images load up in a random order?
Thanks...

[edit reason] remove url, paraphrase email [/edit]
btw, no personal urls are allowed per the tos, so you might want to remove those links.
I have no idea how you can explain this away to your client. Only thing I can really think of is to have your client view the site from other locations using an isp other than theirs. It might bring more light to their isp connection.
And how do I explain why the images load up in a random order? The browser requests the images but has no control over the order in which they arrive. Images are not requested one at a time.
With respect to the home page, I suggest you use a single .jpg image. If you use "progressive encoding", the image will appear quickly but blurred and will sharpen as data arrives. To my mind, this is more professional, but opinions differ.
Also, starting with the orginal high-definition image, you should be able to use an editor such as Paint Shop Pro, or Adobe stuff to create a smaller file by adjusting the compression ratio. There is a trade-off with quality but I had a quick play and reckon you could probably reduce the file size by about 25%, maybe a bit more.
