Hi - first time poster, so i may be in the wrong forum...but anyways -

I'm trying to make my site completely database driven. It's a really basic site, so it would be easy for anyone to update when i leave. But here's the problem - I need to be able to populate a fireworks style drop down menu (in something like a nav. bar) dynamically from a mysql database. If anyone has any insight into this topic, any help is greatly appreciated.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, tbthorpe!

You will need to change the menu system you use to cater for database driven elements.

Have a look at http://www.webmasterworld.com/forum91/442.htm [webmasterworld.com] and using an approach like this you can easily write out your menu elements to the menu.

You may also use HV menu. The variable js should be generated on the fly, which could be db driven.

edit note - The HV menu system is freeware, available from many different sites, so we're not going to favor just one or two with a url. It's easy to find with most search engines.
