Hi, I am trying to upload a pdf file to a site so that it can be downloaded and viewed by the customers. Therefore I have inserted .zip after the file name. The download works fine, and when I put .pdf after the file name in the web address it also works. However, when I try to unzip the file it says it is corrupted and therefore it is not possible. Does anyone have any ideas how I could modify the file so that it is not corrupted.

Thanks

is it coming through Yahoo mail? I've noticed that with sending PDF files through Yahoo mail.

Odd

Have you actually zipped up the file? From you post it sounds like you just added the .zip file extension. Your software may be seeing that the file isn't really a legit zipped file and then assumes that there's corruption.

You need a "zip utility" program such as WinZip or Alladin Stuffit that will ceate a .zip archive of your source file. Very handy to have - almost indispensible if you send a lot of large files around. They will even compress entire directories into one .zip file.

The two I mentioned are the most common, and both offer free trials. Size savings of 80% can be had with some source files.
