Can I block an iframe getting spidered?

Am I right to assume that if I include page B in an iframe on page A, and have a noindex, nofollow robots metatag in the head of page B, then page B won't be spidered. The same as regular frames, yes?

Correct.

As a matter of fact, the last time I tested, search engines weren't even following the src= attribute of an iframe , only regular links targeted to change the iframe document.

Yes but but you might be better off using robots.txt to block page B instead.
