I can log into forums, but recently my browsers (AOL, Netscape 7.1 and Internet Explorer) will not allow me to log into my webspace any more, just tells me my browser must support cookies in order to log in. It was working before, and I have tried changing the settings in internet options, any ideas whats going on?

It doesn't sound like a browser bug if all your browsers can accept cookies elsewhere and all your browsers are blocked on this webspace. I'd say it's more likely to be some security software in your webspace that's not reading you correctly.

Have you accidently diasabled cookies?, installed a firewall?, or re-installed/updated any of your web browsers, your OS, or anything like that?

I was having all kinds of similar log-in problems recently .. it started happening fairly suddenly.. I once spent 3 hours trying to figure out why my log-in feature on a script I'd built would work locally but flop on the live server..

then I rememered.. I had recently upgraded zonealarm firewall. I disabled it... and suddenly all my logins worked fine.

For whatever reason ZoneAlarm spontaneously started blocking my harmless login cookies and session variables. it was even keeping me from being recognized here.

anyways.. that's my story.. do you have a firewall that could be hampering you?
