I was wondering if anyone could help me figure out how to get the address bar back in IE 6? It's on my Mom's machine. She's running WinXP Pro. The only way I have figured out for her to navigate is by using "File", then "Open" and typing in the url there. Mom would really like to have her address bar back. Any ideas?

Thank You
Stephanie

In the top menus of IE:

View -> Toolbars -> Address Bar (checked)

or you can right click on an existing toolbar and check the address bar option

Another thing that may have happened is the toolbar has been moved off to the side, in which case look in the top right corner for a small tab which you can click on a drag.

It might be worth also checking the "Lock the toolbars" option to make sure it doesnt disappear again.

At the top click on "tools" then go to "toolbars" and a mini list will appear. Make sure there is a tick beside "address bar" of not click it. This should restore the address bar.

edit: TheDave beat me to it :)

Thank you so much! Mom is back in business with her address bar. Apparently she did drag it to the right. Now I get to go to sleep! Yay!

Thanks Again
