i have just had a visitor who says that my website flickers on is computer, what can cause flickering?

hmm, I think you might need them to explain exactly what they mean by "flickers". All I can think of is a monitor problem off the top of my head.

Or does it load then reload or some other type behaviour?

I am redesigning a client's site right now that uses a "news scroll" script.

It causes the web page to "flicker". Do you have scripts on the page?

Lycos sites viewed on Opera flicker, I think because of the google ads, don't know if that helps out at all....

well im not on lycos, but i do have some javascripts but not scrolling. My javascripts are those fancy dropdown menus

Maybe there's an error in the code? Is there a javascript validator anywhere?

I would recommend doing a test page without scripts, upload it to your server in a test environment, and review both script and non-script pages for behavior.
