Hi,

I would like to know in what situation will the HTTP-referer of a page will be blank ...

Will ISP set the referer to blank prior to redirecting a web-page to another?

Thanks and Regards,
CT

Some proxies and such will blank out the referer, so yes, it can be done at the ISP level.

Many browsers also allow for referer info to not be revealed. Then there are bots (of all sorts) which often leave that info blank.

Some Virus programs act as proxies, and send blank headers.

Many "Internet Security" programs also blank out the referer.

Some proxies, ISP's and Internet Security programs, etc.
will blank/remove/not send the "HTTP_REFERER", but they
don't do anything about the JavaScript "document.referrer",
and that is another way to get/log the referrer.
