Which browser for your every day surfing?

As we are all "web gurus" here (well.. self appointed web gurus at least) and we are all fully aware that there are other, possibly better, browsers than IE6 freely available, I thought it might be interesting to conduct a brief poll:

What browser do you personally use for your every day web surfing?

(e.g. not the browser(s) you use for development work, but the one you regularly use to check the news, read the funnies, buy stuff and do your banking etc etc)

avoid IE as much as possible (except when a site i have to visit tells me i need to 'upgrade' to i.e.5!)

I used to use IE6 all the time, but I stayed with my folks over Christmas and found Opera was WAY faster than IE6 on their dialup connection. Subsequently I found I also quite liked it and it's now my default browser of choice.

Mozilla 1.5 and Opera 7.11 both get (heavily) used daily.

IE 5.01, 5.5 & 6 are installed, but are only used weekly at most.

Until a few days ago, MSIE 6.02. And while I'm still using it, my main browser is now Opera 7.23. I'm not yet 100% sold, but it's growing on me. The more I read about the CSS flaws in IE, the sicker I became with it. Not that Op is perfect, but it's flaws aren't as big. Moz. seems to have less flaws, so we'll need to wait and see.

I've also downloaded Firebird, but I haven't installed it yet.

Netscape 7.

IE is too vunerable to viruses etc, and I especially didn't like the poor way favourites are handled. (Sometimes they open in a new window, sometimes in the current and I couldn't sort them into the order I wanted).

Opera crashed too often on my machine (version 6). But I didn't know 7 was out, so I am off now to check it out...

Oops...I have 7.01, so now I'll look at the latest version - they may have sorted the problems I was having.

Firebird 0.7, except I have a few bookmarks not carried over from Mozilla 1.5. IE for the one site that requires it (my insurance company!).

I like to use tabbed browsers, especially
MyIE2 and Avant Browser

(The former offers a lot of plugin options.)

IE6 ¦ web pages accross the world are manily designed to be used with IE and also webpages just look better in IE (sorry) not a great lover of microsoft but Internet Exploer isnt a bad application

It doesn't hang as often as IE.
I like the wand function.
I love the mouse movements.

I use IE sometimes when a web site is not compatible, for example my internet bank.

I use FireBird for everything, except when I have to test in IE (after which I normally have to add some code bloat to my pages . . . )

I have Opera, but haven't paid for it yet.
