Internet Explorer - clearing url cache/ history

auto-complete doesn't clear

Hi,

Hope this isn't too far off topic.

I deleted ALL the files and cookies in my browswer:

Tools ¦ Internet Options ¦ then clicked on "delete cookies", "delete files", and "clear history".

I even go to "view files" and ensure that there are NO files in there.

Now when I go back to the URL bar and type in a http, I get auto-complete come on from previous URL's I've visited.

What's up with that?

You need to go to Tools ¦ Internet Options ¦ Content and then click on auto complete... which will given you the option to deselect autocomplete for web addresses.

Yeah I know how to do that, I'm just worried why I can't delete all the auto-complete cache. I want autocomplete, I just want to delete ALL previous URL's from its cache.
