I am running IE6 and all of a sudden, I have found that "view source" does nothing!
I have rebooted to no avail! I do not have email on this machine, so it is unlikely to be a virus and I have not run a MS update recently!
Has anyone experienced this? Any suggestions?
Try changing your View source editor to see if that maks a difference:To add your preference to the View>Source option in Internet Explorer, go to Start>Run, type regedit. Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer
Right-click on the Internet Explorer key, choose new>Key, name it View Source Editor, right-click on View Source Editor key, choose new>Key name it Editor Name, right-click on (Default) in the right pane and type the name of your editor (for example I use Textpad.)As long as the application has an entry under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths, you need only provide the name.
If it doesn't have any entry you'll need to enter the full pathname (for example,) "C:\Program Files\TextPad 4\TextPad.exe"
How bizarre, it should simply vanish though! I used it on one page, then in the same session it vanished!
Oh well, all's well that ends well, and this also gives me the ability to choose another editor.

I have reduced the maximum cached files, as this does take forever to clear. I obviously spend far too much time on the internet :-)
