DIV and MAC IE5.2

Div Contendeditable doesn't work with MAC IE5.2

Hello!
I've a DIV which looks like this:
<div contenteditable id="xyz" someotherparameters></div>

with MS Windows and IE I can enter some text into this div. But it doesn't work with MAC IE5.2
Does anybody know why and does anybody know what can i do, that it will work?

According to this Microsoft reference [msdn.microsoft.com]:

This feature requires Microsoft® Internet Explorer 5.5 or later.

I think the best way for a Mac user to utilize the <contenteditable> fetaure is for them to run a PC emulator so they can install the pc version of IE5.5 or IE6.

I've also read that Mozilla Firebird for Mac now supports <contenteditable> -- so there are two options for your Mac users, but nothing I know of will get this functionality from IE5.2

Your only option on the mac is to use Mozilla and its contenteditable ability [devedge.netscape.com].
What's nice is that it works on all platforms, PC, Mac 8.x-10.x, and Linux.

Install Mozilla and try a more complete demo [mozilla.org] for size.
